About the role
We have two sets of users with different needs. Founders want to find the right person quickly and trust the booking. Mentors want a steady calendar with as little admin as possible.
You will be the only product designer at first, working directly with engineering and the founders. You will own research, flows, visual design and the design system.
What you'll do
- Run short research calls with founders and mentors every month
- Design end-to-end flows for search, booking, mentor onboarding and payouts
- Maintain the design system in Figma and keep it in step with the code
- Write the interface copy alongside the layouts
- Review shipped work in production and file what needs fixing
You may be a fit if
- You have 3+ years designing a shipped web or mobile product
- Your portfolio shows how you reached a decision, not only the final screens
- You are comfortable designing for mobile first
- You can explain a trade-off to an engineer and agree on a plan
Big plus
- You have designed for a two-sided marketplace
- You can prototype interactions in code
